Who Am I?
Alice Scott-Ferguson was born in the Shetland Islands of Scotland and immigrated
to the USA with her husband and three children over thirty
years ago. She holds a BS in Health Sciences and is a registered nurse specializing in
mental health. Her passion to understand humankind in their relationship
with God—and God with them—has led to a life-long search and study of His Word,
and a life-long love of the living Word—Jesus Christ. Alice is a trained counselor, a passionate and popular
speaker, and a writer whose ability to think outside the box provides
thought-provoking and entertaining material from one who enjoys a wild love
affair with words.
Alice is the author of three books. Little Women, Big God (Essence, 1999) which captures her years of
ministry to women in Europe; Mothers
Can’t Be Everywhere, But God Is
(Cladach, 2002), a liberating look at the role of motherhood, and Reconcilable Differences (Cook, 2007)
co-authored with Nancy Parker Brummett whose traditional/complementarian view
of women’s roles are entirely opposite to Alice’s egalitarian/mutuality stance.
The wonder and power of this collaboration is the love and respect with which
they hold one another despite differing positions on this thorny topic. She has
written innumerable articles and Bible studies, many of which she teaches in
her local church.
She and her husband currently
live in Phoenix, AZ. The family of three little children, with whom they came to
this country, have now expanded to include their spouses and six grandchildren.
